Breast Health
Early detection saves lives. DITI s a proactive approach to breast health. DITI is a proactive approach to breast health. The benefit of DITI is that it offers the opportunity of earlier breast disease detection when used in conjunction with breast self-examination, doctor examination, and/or ultrasound and mammography.
DITI’s key role as an adjunct tool in breast cancer and other breast disorders is to aid in the early detection and monitoring of abnormal physiology and the establishment of risk factors for the development or existence of disease or dysfunction. DITI detects the subtle physiologic changes that accompany breast pathology whether it is a developing malignancy, fibrocystic disease, vascular disease or infection. The imaging procedure is painless, 100% non invasive, and emits zero radiation. All positive thermal findings must be correlated with structural testing and clinical correlation. No breast screening modality is 100%. Southwest Medical Thermal Imaging, LLC strongly encourages the inclusion of your physician and a multi-modality approach to breast health.
Active Cancer Cells Double In Number Every 90 Days
It takes years for a tumor to grow. On average there is a 5- 8 year growth process before a tumor is dense enough to show on a mammogram. Thermography can visualize the lymphatic and vascular process associated with early stage breast disease. Therefore the earliest possible indication of abnormality is needed to allow for the immediate treatment and prevention.
All women can benefit from DITI breast imaging. It is especially appropriate for younger women ages 30-50 whose denser breast tissue makes it difficult for mammography to be effective. This test can provide a clinical marker to the doctor, sonographer, or mammographer that a specific area of the breast needs particularly close examination.
Breast Cancers Tend To Grown Significantly Faster In Younger Women Under 50
Every woman has her own unique breast patterns that are established after puberty. These patterns can only be altered by a developing pathology. The first year a baseline must be established that requires two scans three months apart. The initial scan is limited. A report is generated with a preliminary risk cateogry. The critical appointment is the follow up that ascertains stability or change. No change establishes as baseline. A routine annual breast scan looks for vascular and lymphatic changes in the same way that an annual pap smear looks for cellular changes. Benefits of breast thermography are multifold. There is no radiation, no compression, no limitations by the density of breast tissue and no limitations of being confined to the evaluation of the breast borders alone. Thermography evalutates outside of the breast borders (chest walls, inframmaory regions, upper chest, brachial plexus and back). Detecting vascular, llymphatic or hormonal change early allows for an earliery diagnosis or pre-emptive/preventative treatment at the earliest possible time frame.
